We recently sat down with Tamara Robinson, an international bestselling author, coach and speaker. Through her bestselling books and coaching practice, called Passion Pleasure Coach, Tamara, helps men and women navigate feelings of being overwhelmed and experiencing pain after heartbreak or a major life event. Through her own journey, Tamara learned how to love, accept and celebrate herself. Her writing and coaching inspires others to do the same so they too can live their lives to their full potential.
In her book, “Live and Love Out Loud”, Tamara tell us: “The hardest one in self-care is learning how to give ourselves permission to enjoy things that we love.” During our interview with her, she gives us some tips on how to integrate self-care in our lives, especially young moms who have a hard time separating themselves from their motherly duties.

Let’s talk about pleasure
In order to connect with your inner self, you have to be able to connect with your desires. This can be a difficult thing to do because you may have been taught that your desires are bad or that you shouldn’t have them. You may also have been taught that you are not deserving of the things you want.
When starting to connect with your inner self, fight the urge to believe that you are not deserving. You are worthy of love and connection. Your desires are valid. Allow yourself to feel the feels in order to prepare for intimacy. Acknowledge the changes you want to see in your life. Be ready to be vulnerable and intimate with yourself as well as your partner.
It’s no secret that open and honest communication is the key to a healthy relationship. But what about when it comes to intimacy? How do you connect with your partner on a deeper level?
Talk about your desires with your partner. There are a few things you can do to foster a deeper level of intimacy with your partner. Discuss what you want and why you want it. Be honest about your fears and your doubts. This will allow your partner to understand you better and help you feel more comfortable. It also allows your partner to be a part of your journey. Communication is a necessary part of getting to a deeper level of intimacy. Communicate your desires and needs. This will help your partner know how to please you and make you feel more connected. Don’t shy away from talking about physical intimacy. This will help you feel more connected to your partner on a physical level.
